I need this a year ago.
This was almost exactly what I needed to illustrate a Sylvia Plath quote.
"My love for you is more athletic than a verb"
I abandoned this one because it became too abstract to try and visualise grammar, but this was exactly what would have helped.

So… I know it really is a bit late for “New Year’s Resolutions”, so let’s just consider this a life resolution…
I’m going to read more.
For the past 4 years I’ve spent around half my time working in libraries, and it’s been good. Not only because I’ve met some great people, but not paying fees and fines is AWESOME. I think it may have contributed to the nonchalant attitude I have to reading. I’m INTERESTED in books, but I really don’t read as much as I should. This often manifests itself as…
I have 15 book out on my record just now… None of them are more than a third completed, and I guess I’ll just ditch them and bring them back eventually if they get recalled.
This needs to stop. Not only for my reputation as someone who is supposed to be good at “books and stuff”, but for my own sanity. I need a new hobby, and as reading is a pretty simple hobby most librarians should have, if I can’t beat em, I may as well join em.
Which brings me to Reading in 2014. Not a very inspirational title, I know. I might find a better way to do this as I go along, everything is a learning curve. My plan is not to set hard and fast targets or limits or lists, but to read fluidly and with enthusiasm. Here is where the blogging comes in; I’m going to do a super original thing and review the books I read. My aim is to read critically and with interest and try and do what I can to record the progress of my year.
It might not go as planned, but it’s good to have some kind of outline/goalpost to start out this “Reading Challenge”

This was passed on to me as a “saw this and thought of you”
Nothing quite like a bit of Ryan Gosling mixed with some typographic geekery.
